It’s almost been 2 months since I came back from Paris! But now, I still wanna share with you my favorite purchases from my Paris trip:)
As a slow fashion believer and eco-friendly practicer, I did not buy too many stuffs as I always did during my travels. Here are the stuffs on top of my Paris shoppings.
Note: KUSMI TEA
I’m not actually a tea person (normally a coffee person haha), but I’ve heard so many compliments about KUSMI TEA, so I must give it a try as I was in Paris. It is extremely nice, just as it is praised for! Both the detox ones and the originals ones are so refreshing. Should I recommend, AquaRosa (the red package with berry scents) and Blue Detox (Not in the picture. It’s green tea with mate, of pineapple and mint scents) are two must-tries!
I got this pair of gorgeous sunnies at La Vallée Village, an outlet shopping mall in the suburb of Paris. Even though it is a Gucci one, it is of really reasonable price, about 125€ before tax refund! The shape of this pair fits me really well. Love it so much! I can finally replace my old Karl Largerfeld sunglasses with this new one. This is probably on top of my favorite purchases.
．Canvas tote from Bon Marché
I’ve always loved canvas totes, practical, casual and of some kind of hipster style. I own so many canvas totes, from Shakespeare & Co., Marimekko, bookstores and other shops. (I’m looking for a bag for going to the theater tonight.) is fun, durable and is definitely the best Parisian souvenir. Welcome to my canvas tote collection!
．The Signature Tour Eiffel Statue
Talking about souvenirs, I just can’t miss the little Tour Eiffel statue with the signature French colors. 3 years ago, when I first visited Paris, I’d always wanted a Tour Eiffel statue; however, I did not find one I liked. This time, I finally found this special cute Tour Eiffel, with blue, white and red painted on and has PARIS on it. I know it’s cliché, but you can’t deny it, its’ also classic.
Books are always sweet burdens in travels. However, it’s much cheaper to buy English or French books abroad than purchasing in Taiwan. I like to linger in bookstores and of course go treasure hunting at book stalls by the Seine. Here are several books I bought in Paris.
This year is the 60th anniversary for Albert Camus winning the Nobel Literature Prize. As a result, France got this special version of L’Étranger (The Stranger) published. I bought it by the Seine for only 5€! Such a great deal!
．Jo Malone Perfume
Actually, this Jo Malone perfume wasn’t bought in Paris, but at Taoyuan Airport in Taiwan, but I still counted it in my Paris purchases. After all, it is also part of my purchase of this trip. This is officially my first Jo Malone perfume. I’ve tried many samples of different scents, and finally made up my mind to get English pears & Freesia. (However, I love the limited May edition, Star Magnolia much more!)
．AIGLE Rain Boots
These AIGLE Rain Boots are so comfortable and chic! They do not look like normal bulky rain boots. They are soft and are able to be walked in for hours. The color scheme of navy blue, red, and a little bit brown is classic. By the way, I saw the exact rain boots at the AIGLE store in Taiwan, which cost more than twice the price I got in Paris! I got this pair at the outlet, La Vallée Village as well.
What will you buy during your trips? And what do you think the best souvenir to get? Please share with me! I would really like to know;)

Kusmi Tea is awesome! I’ll definitely buy more when I go to Paris next time!
Actually, I planned to buy Hediard Tea, but the flagship store was under construction…. It is also nice!
The Gucci sunglasses are gorgeous!
And of reasonable price too!
Originally I like to read your articles..but when I read this part”我 20 歲生日時得到 Karl Largerfeld”…………
I just find how lucky you are and what a different rich world you live in,
this is what people talked about the big gap between poor and rich in Taiwan,
how to minimize this huge gap seems like need some magic to change our ordinary life..
Hello Sophy, thank you very much for your comment.
I always know I’m among the luckiest, and I never take it for granted. Actually, I don’t live in that kind of “different rich world” as you mentioned. My classmates here and many of my friends are the ones live in a different rich world. I am aware of the privilege I have and I’m trying hard to contribute what I can to the society.
For the Karl Lagerfeld sunglasses, the brand offers goods at reasonable price points, compared to other designer brands like Celine or Saint Laurent. (Maybe you still feel that expensive… Anyways, everyone has different standard toward things.)
This trip to Paris and everything I bought lived on every penny I earned and saved. You don’t know so much about me, so please don’t judge in the first place. But I do agree with you that it still requires much more effort to work through economic inequality.
